The Maytronics Dolphin EON 120d is a cordless robotic pool cleaner for residential pools up to 10 metres. It cleans floors, walls, the waterline, steps and sun ledges from a minimum water depth of 20 cm, runs up to 4.5 hours on a charge, filters with DebrisLock backwash filtration and is controlled through the Maytronics One app.
Enough for up to two and a half weeks of scheduled cleaning before it needs the dock again.
Sun ledges, tanning shelves and the top step
Modern South African pools are full of shallow water — a bench along one wall, a tanning ledge at the shallow end, a broad top step. Cleaners rated to 30 cm drive past all of it. The EON 120d works from a minimum water depth of 20 cm, and JetIQ step cleaning keeps it stable on the step instead of sliding off.

DebrisLock backwash filtration
The filter traps ultra-fine particles, then uses backwash to compress what it has collected. Less volume means you empty it less often, which is the difference between a robot you run on a schedule and one you have to attend to. This is the single feature that separates the 120d from the EON 100.

SmartMap navigation builds a route line by line instead of feeling its way around. On a rectangle that saves time. On a free-form pool, an L-shape, or a pool with something standing in the water, it is the difference between covered and mostly covered.

The Liberty 400 is on the shelf now at the Women's Month price and is final stock. The EON 120d lands in September. If the shallow ledge or the run time matters to you, waiting is the better buy. If it does not, the Liberty is a real machine at a real discount and we would rather say so.

September 2026. Maytronics has published the specification but not the South African price yet, so we are not quoting one. Ask us and you will hear the price on the day we do.
Does the Dolphin EON 120d need the pool pump running?
No. It works independently of the pump and filtration system. There is no suction line to connect and no floating hose.
What is the difference between the EON 100 and the EON 120d?
The EON 100 suits pools up to 7 m and runs up to 2.5 hours with monoblock filtration and a 2 year warranty. The EON 120d suits pools up to 10 m, runs up to 4.5 hours, adds DebrisLock backwash filtration with ultra-fine capture and carries a 3 year warranty.
What cleaning cycle times are available?
The Maytronics brochure lists 1, 2 and 2.5 hour cycles, with a total run time of up to 4.5 hours on one charge. An older product description quoted 1.5 hours for the shortest cycle; we follow the brochure, because it is the manufacturer's own document.
