The Dolphin M 500 comes with one of two brushes at the same price. This is the WB — the Wonder Brush, for concrete, fibreglass, tile or vinyl. Pick by what your pool is lined with, because the price will not decide it for you.

The Maytronics Dolphin M 500 WB is a robotic pool cleaner for South African residential pools up to 12 metres. It cleans floors, walls and the waterline, uses the Wonder Brush (WB) for fibreglass, tile and vinyl surfaces, filters through fine and ultra-fine cartridges, connects to the MyDolphin Plus app and ships with a caddy as standard. It is sold in the store as the Dolphin M500i WB.
Rated to 12 m, floors, walls and waterline, 11 kg with a caddy included as standard. The Wonder Brush (WB) is fitted for fibreglass, tile and vinyl.

The M 500 is one machine with two brush options. This is the Wonder Brush, made for concrete, fibreglass, tile or vinyl — smooth surfaces where a softer brush grips without scuffing. Everything else about the two is identical, including the price, so the only way to lose here is to never be asked which surface you have.

Two cartridge grades rather than one basket doing both jobs: the fine cartridge for everyday grit, the ultra-fine when the water has gone dusty and you want it polished. They lift out and rinse off.

A wet robot is heavier than a dry one and the lift out of the water is the part people underestimate. At 11 kg with a caddy included as standard, this is one you wheel rather than carry. The swivel cable is the other half of that — an 18 m cable that does not wind itself into a knot over a season.

A triple-active brush and CleverClean scanning with the Dynamic Dual Drive Motor, so it maps a route instead of bouncing off things. Rated to 12 m and app-connected through MyDolphin Plus.
mydolphin.co.za: up to 12 m; floors, walls and waterline; triple-active brush; CleverClean; Dynamic Dual Drive Motor; MyDolphin PlusThese are the same cleaner. The only difference is the brush, and it is not a preference — it is a match to what your pool is lined with. Both cost the same, so choosing wrong gains you nothing and costs you scrubbing performance. If you are not sure what your surface is, send us a photo before you order.
Only the brush. The Wonder Brush (WB) is made for fibreglass, tile and vinyl; the Combined Brush (CB) is made for rough surfaces - quartz, granite or pebbles. Pool size, coverage, filtration, caddy, warranty and price are identical.
Run your hand across the wall below the waterline. If it is smooth and slightly glossy it is fibreglass, tile or vinyl and you want the WB. If it is grainy or you can feel the aggregate, it is marbelite, quartz or pebble and you want the CB. If you are not certain, send us a photo of the wall and the waterline and we will tell you.
