A floor cleaner will not touch a floating leaf.
Every robot in the Dolphin range cleans the floor, the walls and the waterline. None of them collect what is on the surface. That lands in your weir basket, or it sinks overnight and stains. This is the machine for that job. Adds edge cleaning and Call to Edge retrieval.

The Maytronics Dolphin Skimmi 300 is a solar-powered robotic pool skimmer that clears floating leaves and debris from the surface of pools up to 20 metres. It is cordless, recharges itself by seeking sunlight and is controlled through the Maytronics One app. It cleans the water surface only, not the pool floor or walls.
Solar panels on the deck. It finds the sunniest patch and recharges there — no retrieval, no cable, no timer to set.
Leaves, before they sink
A leaf on the surface is easy. The same leaf on the floor twelve hours later has started to stain the marbelite and is now a job for a brush and a chemical. Taking it off the top is the cheapest pool maintenance there is, and this does it without you being there.

Sun-seeking, so it never stops
Smart solar charging means it looks for the sunniest part of the pool and recharges there. Nothing to plug in, nothing to lift out, no schedule to remember. An optional external charger exists for a run of overcast days.

It avoids things rather than bumping them
Smart sensors detect walls and obstacles, so it keeps moving around cables, toys and the corners where debris actually collects rather than stalling against them.

One basket, lifted out and rinsed
An easy-clean fine filter basket that collects leaves, bugs and pollen. Maytronics do not publish a capacity for it, so we are not going to quote one — what we can tell you is that it lifts out and rinses off, and there is no cartridge to replace.

Call it to the edge
Tap once in the Maytronics One app and it comes to the side of the pool, so you are not reaching for it with a net. It is the difference the 300 adds over the 200, along with the edge-cleaning mode and the larger basket.

Questions people ask about the Skimmi 300
Does the Dolphin Skimmi clean the pool floor?
No. It works the water surface only. It collects floating leaves and debris before they sink. A floor, wall and waterline clean is a different machine, and plenty of pools end up with both.
Does the Dolphin Skimmi need to be plugged in?
No. It is solar powered and recharges itself in the pool by moving to the sunniest spot. An external charger is available as an option for long overcast spells.
What is the difference between the Skimmi 200 and the Skimmi 300?
Both are rated for surfaces up to 20 m and both use an easy-clean fine filter basket — Maytronics do not publish a capacity for either. The 200 has Edge Free, Leaf Catch and advanced Eco Mode and a 2 year warranty. The 300 adds Edge Cleaning and Call to Edge retrieval from the app, and carries a 3 year warranty.
