What is EcoSwim?
The cell that makes your sanitiser
An electrolytic chlorinator that converts salt or magnesium-rich Dead Sea minerals dissolved in the pool into sanitiser, on a timer, automatically. You stop buying chlorine by the drum and start topping up minerals a few times a year.

How it works
Five parts. One control unit.
EcoSwim is modular by design. The control unit runs whatever is plugged into it, which is why the machine on your wall today is not the ceiling. Maytronics' own cutaway shows all five bays in the one housing — the fourth is where ozone goes, and the fifth is left empty on purpose.
Module 1
Hand-held remote
Set the output, change modes and read the system from beside the pool rather than at the wall.
Module 2
Central control unit
The brain. Runs the cycle, watches the cell and drives whatever modules are plugged into it.
Module 3
Generator module
The electrolytic cell. Converts the minerals or salt in the water into sanitiser, and cleans itself on a reverse-polarity cycle.
Module 4
Purifier module
Ozone. Not fitted to an EcoSwim as standard — this is the slot the Mineral Swim V2 Purifier drops into.
Module 5
Upgrade slot
Left free on purpose. The first module lined up for it is automatic pH dosing, which Maytronics list as coming. The system is modular, so the unit on your wall today is not the ceiling.

Pool size is the manufacturer’s rating and a sizing guideline, not a guarantee. South African conditions — summer water temperature, UV, a long season and bathing load — put more demand on a cell than the rating alone suggests, so size on actual demand rather than volume alone. A dash means the figure is not listed for that model. Figures are from the current product data and can change.

Dead Sea minerals
The same cell runs on ordinary pool salt or on magnesium-rich Dead Sea minerals. The minerals are what give the water the softer feel people notice in the first ten minutes, and you can start on salt and change over later. The Dead Sea story behind them.

Ozone purification
The Mineral Swim V2 Purifier drops into the spare slot. It does not make chlorine — your EcoSwim keeps doing that — it oxidises the organic load so the cell has far less to make. Maytronics rate ozone as working up to 3 000 times faster than chlorine, and the chlorine demand as falling by up to 80%. It is matched to the EcoSwim it joins, not to a pool volume.

For a unit already on the wall, either range. The Generator Module is the chlorination half and fits EcoSwim and Mineral Swim alike; the Purifier Module V2 is the ozone half. They are replacements, not upgrades, and they are not interchangeable with each other — tell us which one failed and we will match it to your unit.

The questions everyone asks
What is the difference between EcoSwim and Mineral Swim V2 Pro?
An EcoSwim is the chlorinator on its own. A Mineral Swim V2 Pro is the same chlorinator with the ozone Purifier module already fitted and sized to match. EcoSwim costs less today; adding the Purifier later costs more in total than buying the Pro up front.
Does an EcoSwim give me a mineral pool?
Yes, if you put minerals in it. The cell runs on ordinary pool salt or on Dead Sea minerals, and it is the minerals that give the water its feel. What it does not do on its own is the ozone stage.
Can I add ozone later?
That is what the spare slot is for. The Mineral Swim V2 Purifier plugs into the same control unit and is matched to the EcoSwim, not to a pool volume. Your EcoSwim keeps making the chlorine; the Purifier takes the oxidising load off it.
How long does it take to install?
Maytronics put it at under an hour. The unit goes on the wall and the cell plumbs into the return line on the pump slab. There is nothing structural and no cabinet to build.
What salt or mineral level does it need?
Between 3 500 and 6 500 ppm TDS, the same across the range. We will tell you the opening dose for your volume before you order.
What is the warranty?
Five years limited on the EcoSwim systems, Maytronics’ own figure, subject to correct installation and operation. The ozone Purifier module bought on its own carries two years, parts only.
Which model fits my pool?
Use the sizer on this page — set your volume and it returns the smallest EcoSwim that covers it. Undersizing a cell means it runs flat out all season and wears out early, so it never puts you on the edge of a rating.
Can I put one on an existing pool?
Yes. Chlorine and salt pools both convert. The cell goes into the return line and the minerals go into the water you already have.
