The Speck MultiCyclone XL70 is a commercial centrifugal pool pre-filter with 70 hydrocyclones. Installed ahead of the main filters, it spins heavier dirt and sediment out of the water so less reaches them, which reduces how often the plant has to be backwashed. It operates from 36 to 90 m³/h, uses no filter media and has no moving parts in the filtration body.

Backwashing is the expensive part
